Maybe, but having Condoleezza Rice on the selection committee is even more absurd. Also, if your position is not to allow a team in that didn't win a championship, then only 1 SEC team gets in every year.

Condoleezza Rice is a huge college football fan who is good at making complex decisions. She is probably my favorite person on the committee. That said, I hate the committee.

Why? She's a sports nut, huge college football fan, and is most definitely the smartest person on the committee.
