Born in 1949. I'm a Boomer. High school years 1963-67. Loved the music not the drugs. A lot of loosening up of the fabric of society - some good/some not. Genesis of the Obama circle in this era. The beginning of a gradual loss of the meaning of excellence in education. Loss of direction and consensus among Americans; the extremes of partisanship in govt. began to become noticeable. Widespread air conditioning good. Throwaway consumerism starts. Boomers fall in love with our fractured generation. Medical/technological advances great. Net value of 1960s: Mixed bag.
