Not saying their are unique clusters of homeschoolers, but this is why the homeschool stereotype exists

Oh, there is an absolute stereotype. Weird, shy, nerdy, anti-social, not athletic, the outcasts. And these kids exist. But they exist in schools as well. There are "normal" kids who homeschool. I went to prom twice (at a regular highschool). I got the advantage of not caring about what people thought of me and all of the social pressure, so by the time I went to college, I was independent and never looked back. Moved out at 18, bought my house at 23 on my own, etc.
I know we think of homeschooled kids as the guy who lives in mom's basement into his 40's, but not all of us were like that.
