People who think that Lee Greenwood's banal "Proud To Be An American" is a patriotic hymn and must be completely venerated and respected by all.

It is an insipid song that was originally written TO MAKE MONEY. If I choose to pick my nose and eat the buggers while a recording of it is being played in a public place, this does not make me Alger Hiss.

"at least I know I'm free"? Wtf?

Politics aside it's a terrible song from a songwriting perspective and
