and many people like my friend's husband (who just flew back today from west Africa via the Middle east) refuse to go to the Dr bc the have "the flu."
Was he in West Africa for a few days or did his plane just stop there on the way back from the Middle East? Further, if he just came in there is no way that your friend could have caught the virus and be symptomatic by tomorrow morning. I would worry more about catching a flu indirectly.

BTW, it should be reassuring that the idiot in Dallas didn't get Ebola by some pure chance encounter. He was caring for a person he knew had Ebola and was on their death bed (beyond symptomatic) days before he came to the US.

Why is Ebola spreading so fast in West Africa? Because of morons like Mr. Duncan who thinks the best thing to do after caring for someone with Ebola is to immediately go visit a bunch of family. If he survives he should be arrested.

Agree.

Imagine this conversation :

Family member: (Hugs African cousin) Hey cuz! Good to see you, how was your flight?

Duncan: (In heavy African accent) Oh brudder, I'm beat! I was up all night before I Ieft taking care of my neighbor with Ebola. Then I had to carry her body 1 mile to bury her! Give me a nutter hug cuz!

Family member: WTF!
