Y'all got a dog? Where are you located?

We are in Madison County Mississippi....no dogs.

Found my arrow and again no blood. Only got about 5 inches if penetration including the broad head.

Scoured the woods and no luck on recovery. I believe I pulled my shot and hit her dead in the front shoulder joint.

Still sick about her possibly dying from infection.

My brother shot a doe in the shoulder 4 years ago with a bow and we trailed her but never found her. We have trail cam pics of her every year since with fawns. She walks on 3 legs but seems pretty healthy. Hopefully she'll make it.

Possible but I would bet based on what you said she will be fine. I have seen them survive much worse. Have also heard of several accounts where folks find a broad head a hear later while skinning a deer.

Good luck next time brother. Get back out there!
