Why don't we see this formation?

I-formation with no TE and 3 WR with Hilliard at FB and Fournette at RB.
I think there is some benefit to spreading the defense out a bit to run the ball. Our o-line has obviously not been able to get a push, so why not try to open some lanes instead of running into the back of our line?
From this formation you can also split Fournette out in the slot and go 4 wide with Hilliard in the backfield. It seems to me like this would cause matchup nightmares for a defense. Fournette seems very good catching the ball.

I remember Hillard being very effective in his freshman year as a fullback.

I think splitting Fournette out wide without letting the other team sub will cause the defense to focus on Fournette in the slot and open some holes for a quick handoff to Hilliard.

so is Hilliard. me likey your idea. we simply haven't been taking advantage of what we have in skill players.
imo and no matter what anyone says, it ain't just the coaching. our QB execution has been terrible. some of that is due to lack of protection but come on, we've had receivers open that simply aren't thrown to. lots of drives failed due to execution. yes, shitty play calling too.

They don't seem to trust Hilliard blocking
