I remember watching Texas a&m bring in a massive number of receivers over the last 2-3 recruiting cycles. It always struck me as funny... Why recruit so many? Only a limited amount can see the field at any given time. Sound familiar?

Well I think I see what they were doing, and it really worked. They brought in at least twenty guys for the same position in a short span. They didn't want or care about depth, they wanted to be able to make cuts.

Bring in a TON of guys at a position you need help with, let the cream rise to the top, ignore the rest.

It's very unkind, I know, but it is what it is.

ETA then again, Les is genuinely concerned about the kids turning into men. Doesn't sound like an approach he would be open to, and that's a very respectable and increasingly rare trait.

Honest question, how difficult is it MENTALLY to play defensive tackle?

If you'd like a taste, listen to Coach O on Culotta and the Prince from this morning talk about how to defend Auburn...

Well, I think that the know-it-all would-be coaches on here should simply volunteer to go "help" Chief and Brick coach up the DTs in their spare time...I'm sure they would welcome all the expertise...lol...sarc
