How do you know one fraternity from another? I don't know jack about a single one or even what their names are outside of KA, probably because it is a catchy name.
ETA: Come to think of it, I can only recall a single friend that was in a fraternity, but I could not tell you what that fraternity was.
When you're in the system every day for years, you learn a lot about your fellow fraternities. Relationships between fraternities can change drastically year to year depending on which group is in power at the time. The one you were close to last year may be the biggest pain in your arse this year.

true. Apparently the Asian frat even has a house off campus here but they are kinda lame too.
I loved how Phiota had an all-Asian membership with a white president last year.

It's a bit of a pain in the arse to deal with LSU at times. I know we are looking at expanding our house and we are not looking forward to the same shite we dealt with while buying it.

They have a few latino members and one black I think.

This, its all that matters.
The cookie cutter aspect really doesnt bother me. I was blown away by a lot of what I saw over there. I know the Beta Kcig chapter is looking into building a new house as well.
Gammas rendering looks nice, hopefully you all can create the change that is needed.

I know most of the Phiotas since theyre always at Freds. Theyre still like 90% hispanic and they do have a black guy. Most of them met at the BRC when i lived there Fall 2011. They dont try to compete with anyone and they just enjoy what they have, cant hate on that.

When will the fraternity and sorority membership reflect the general population at LSU or is this some sort of segregated system?

With so many connections in the job world and white women at parties, I think it's unfair not to have the racial makeup of the Greek system reflect the overall student body.
Plus taxpayer funds go to the system through cheap land leases, and other ways, it's not fair to the minorities.

No one said minorities can't rush. Several do every year. Now go troll somewhere else.

Anybody know which sorority LSU is adding next fall?
Posted on 9/30/14 at 6:21 pm to TigersSEC2010

When the new Alpha Phi house is completed in the fall of 2016, the the former LSU Press house will be leased to a new sorority that will join campus next fall. Angela Guillory, associate dean and director of Greek life, says nearly 25% of female students at LSU belong to Greek organizations and that there is so much demand for membership space in sororities the university is bringing on more. "We are currently in the process of choosing another sorority, and by the end of the spring we will have one that will come on campus in 2015," she says.

Sure, minorities can rush. But they don't get in in any appreciable numbers.
