In 2008, same situation happened. Our QB was struggling and we put in the more athletic true freshmen who all the fans really wanted to play. We hyped him up incredibly and let's just say this worked out just fine. The situation was without any controversy for the rest of their careers.

Not really the same situation at all. Not only is Harris the better athlete, but he has the much, much better arm.

JJ was limited by that. If anything, Harris is more like Lee

The better comparison, IMO, would be to JR in 2004.

No. Our QB was injured, and we put in the true freshman because we had no choice. He played good enough those last few games, and really well in 2009. The only way this could be the same if Jennings had gotten knocked out of the game, Harris had a good year starting, and then declined.

The only time in Miles tenure, that a QB was pulled for bad performance and his backup started, was in 2011.

For the revisionists who say JJ sucked in 09, he finished the year with 2200 pass yards and 17 TDs with and additional 170 on the ground and a TD, in only 11 and a half games. He was the #2 QB in the country in the redzone, and he did this while having the worst LSU OL of this century, and a run game that wasn't even as good as Jeremy Hill by himself in 2013.
