I am trying to decide between the Hero3 Silver and the Ion Air Pro2. I found the Ion for $200 and kind of feel like the the Silver at $300 is just paying for the name.
Do you thing the Hero3's will really get down in cost?

Yea the Wasabi batteries, they are awesome and yea sucks they changed the batteries but they had to.
As far as the hero 3 they may lower the price but you can't beat the hero for 130$ it will do eveythin you need it to do

I am pretty sure I want the wifi option, so I guess I would have to get the White.
I don't know much about megapixels or aspect ratios. Is the 5mp for stills ok? Sounds low even compared to my phone at 8mp I think.

Yea 5 is pretty low, my hero 2 has 11 mp still pics. Id go hero 3 then I wish I had the wifi one but I'll upgrade eventually. My buddy is big into using them said the hero 2 is just as good as the newer ones just less features

I don't think I'll get the hero, I want to be able to put the dive housing on whatever I get. I looked at some comparison footage between it and the standard and it looked a lot better underwater with the dive housing.

i use mine for fishing, hunting and work
usually at least two hours a week for the past 2-3 years
i have used wifi twice, and i didn't really needed it.. just wanted to use it
