too add to your idea, wasn't the BCS implemented to get rid of the "eye test"? I'm so fricking tired of hearing about the "eye test". It shouldn't be a modeling contest. the 2012 ND team was completely over matched. everyone knew that going in. but going undefeated, with the schedule they played(which was made years in advance, without knowing USC would be under sanctions and OU wouldn't be a typical OU team) deserved to be in the title game

which is why playoffs are a necessity. I don't know the formula, but this idea of the "best team" NEEDING to win the title needs to fricking die. Pro sports and CBB have it right. Hell the FCS has it right. it isn't who looks the best. It's who wins the games when they count

By all means, let's destroy the only sport whose regular season means anything.

CBB gets it right? Are you fricking serious? Except for a two or three week period in March/April nobody gives a shite about college basketball - and that is almost totally driven by gambling. And, of course, the suits are even trying to ruin that by forcing "play-in" games onto the tournament.

Good god no

MLB playoffs have it right, CBB regular season is a joke, and one and done playoffs are never the best to crown champs.
