The problems with the defense begin with the fact the Offense can't keep the ball for more than 2 minutes nor can they move the ball more than 7 yards after two off tackle dives and one pass under pressure. Can that be fixed? I don't think so... I think our O Line has taken a huge step backwards. The talent is there, but the coaching has changed is all I can put my finger on... I find it hard to believe a change in O Line coaches could have this much impact positively or negatively but without the O Line dominating and keeping us running and holding onto the ball and changing field position, I'm not sure that we fix this. That said, twice MState went 98 yards in a few plays to score so who really knows. Specific to the defense we have no push up the middle. That's critical for SEC success. I don't think you find someone and they suddenly push up the middle. These are the rare players... Not so much made as born, in my opinion.

They scored 3 tds from third and long on our side of the field. why is your defense worn down in the first half after playing fricking ULM?
