and him opening up the play book, what do you compare that with?? First let me say I'm a pretty strong believer that the offensive clock management issues are because CC has to get the play approved through CLM before sending it to the QB.

Now, back to the original question. When I think of CC opening up the play book, I compare that to the Bigfoot. Why? Well, you've heard a ton about the thing....you've seen photos, even some videos and they even have a TV show about it just to try and keep people really interested. The TV show for LSU would be those few games where you see a flash of it and say "WOW", but in the end you can't determine if the damn thing is real or not.

The offense ive seen this year vs last year is night and day...what happened to all the crossing routes and things that when ran this year they have worked...seems like we run the ball or throw deep

Cam has always run a very similar offense to Miles. Let's not act like he has Kevin Sumlin's history.

So who do you want throwing all over the yard.

Our true sophomore QB with 4 starts now or our true freshmen QB who barely looks like he weighs 190.

You're right. Cam's history is better. Top 10 offenses in the NFL time and time again.

Cam has managed to dodge alot of criticism this week for some reason. But again we are young and they are being conservative so go figure.

Had Ladanian Tomlinson in San Diego, Ray Rice in Baltimore. Hopefully he can work his magic with LSU's offense and Fournette in a similar fashion.

Not saying they have to throw it all over the yard, but how many times have they run the ball from the spread? Maybe the O line is better at creating holes from pass blocking vs run blocking. This team has very good receivers and RBs. Yes they are mostly a young group but I'm sorry, a duck is a duck. The offense is predictable for the most part and pretty sure that's why they couldn't score on the first drive from the 2yd line.

Hopefully things improve this year and 4 losses will be the max. Then maybe better next year and the Rant will full of joy!

Why does this board have an erection for the spread. Why not the fricking wishbone or something.

He also improved ever QB he has touched. Those RBs had big numbers due to the deep vertical passing game. He threw to all of the RBs too. Well not him, but you get it

They left with Mett's arm strength. Jennings floats the ball too much for anything over the middle.

CC ran the spread at Indiana U with Randle El. He can run it here. Les won't let him must be the issue.

For the love of all that's holy -

THEY HAD A BAD GAME

It happens. Pros have bad games. Did you see the Redskins get curbstomped last night? Does that suddenly mean their coaches can't coach or their players can't play?

How many long plays have we had? We've (obviously) run a few designed QB runs this year (probably not as much as the personnel would dictate - but more than you would think, early, with only 2 scholarship QBs available due to all the transfers). We've run a couple of different trick plays every game, to varying degrees of success. Magee threw a nice HB pass, for example.

It's not wide open, but it's different. And this is not accounting for the fact we're running all new players (except Dural) at the WR position, 2 true freshmen running backs in heavy rotation, 1 QB in his first year of starting and a true freshman QB.

short, mid-range passes have disappeared

have we thrown a slant ??????...
this scares me...the big boys will stack up the box knowing that we will not have time for long passes
