re: Spinoff: Who here has been to rehab?

I initially went to get out of jail, but is was good to not drink for that 60 days. I was partying hard every night, but I still went to work and school every day. My damn problem was that I pissed everyone off all of the time and kept getting arrested. I didn't have to detox, just recover from a hangover in jail the day after I got arrested.


AA meetings annoy me, so I just did it on my own when I left. I don't give a shite about sober dates or hearing people whine, so it is just a PITA. I still binge drink from time to time, but it is only one or two nights a month and I have pretty much stopped going to bars at this point, and I'm okay with that since I don't have any kids to take care of or major responsibilities Saturday mornings

What I got out of it was to almost completely curb my drinking, and I have stayed at that level for the past 4 years.
