That play was called Sh*t-the-Bed 54 Screen.
Let's see, we're down 14 POINTS and State gets the ball to start the 2nd half. The best thing Jennings has done as QB all year is throw really nice bombs. Travon Dural can fly, is one of the top 10 receivers in the nation and and has one of the highest ypc averages in the nation. MSU gave up 3 70+ yard bombs to UAB.
I got it. Let's run the ball with our 2 yard average, make them think we're gonna run the clock out and then call a timeout to run a screen (which haven't run well all year) to probably our least speedy RB. Yes, this sounds like a good idea. Magee is a solid player and a great representative for LSU, but if I'm gonna run a screen in that particular situation, I think I'm gonna go with Fournette - the guy who was a track champion.
That was Les with the moronopoly over the playbook there.
