I agree. Put the money towards the best bullpen money can buy. Make some trades if necessary. But eliminate the black hole in the bull pen and actually put some talent there -- this club has a whole new attitude.

And a legit dominant closer will do wonders for the club. It would allow Qualls to stay in the 8th inning - where he excels. You lock down 8th and 9th innings -- the rest of the pen becomes easier to manage.

If you're Luhnow, do you try to bring back Fat Alberst and Crain? (can you even call it "bringing them back"?)

If you actually think the two are going to be healthy and can get them cheap, why not? But they have to compete for jobs, not have them guaranteed.
