I ain't embarassed....I loved the taste of pork when I was a rugged, self reliant job producer....I didn't like the idea of anyone else getting any but I liked the shite out of mine!

Why would I be embarassed for realizing that entitlements and subsidies in red states have a significant impact on those states economies?

I love these threads. First off, there are blue states and red states, but there are plenty of red folks in blue land, and blue folks in red land. That is what matters, because PEOPLE ultimately receive the money, not states. The south was the PRIMARY focus on the war on poverty, and so it follows that a lot of federal dollars go there. Likewise, I would wager that the huge businesses in California, NY, etc are populated by republicans.

Because their economies would be far better without the entitlements and subsidies with the leeches either emigrated out, or back to work, or taken care of by their families.

It's not really a red/blue issue. But feel few to continue the jersey wearing, face painting, rah-rah my team is better politics.
