If you don't make it you need 2 TDs. Kicking the extra point is still just a TD+2 and FG.

You might just want to quit trying, I don't think the ones in here are really all that understanding of this stuff.

The two point conversion chart created by Dick Vermeil, and used by most coaches at all levels of football, disagrees, but to each his own...this is just a guideline that doesn't take in to account various other factors.
