re: Reason for Fans Leaving the Game Early

It's a proven fact that you remember the positive aspects of memories more than the negative aspects. It is why "back in my day" syndrome has persisted throughout human history... even Plato wrote a rant about the youth in his time being disrespectful and devoid of all morals.
Every time somebody on here goes on some diatribe about people leaving the games early they always go on about "back in my day" the stadium was packed from kick off to final whistle. How every seat had at least two people in it, it didn't matter the score, the stadium was bursting at the seams full of rabid Tiger fans screaming their lungs out on every down.
I find that hard to believe and you just sound like a bitter old person when you take a dump on the students and complaining about empty seats.
Nothing has changed. Casual fans will come to the game and leave when it no longer entertains them. Families and responsible adults will always leave to "beat traffic" in ANY sporting event. College kids will always leave to get to the bar where all their friends are so they can get blackout drunk and bang their classmates.
People make it seem like the stadium is always half empty. I can recall the Ole Miss game and the SC game last year being some of the better TS experiences ever.
And just as an added thought. The "Bitch I'm From Louisiana" isn't for you, it's for the players. God forbid football is played by aggressive individuals who enjoy being pumped up to some music choices other than the song from Top Gun.
There is no reason. It's the same as it ever was. You're just being cynical.

Also, don't run out of Bud Lite LSU and I'll stay all night. Life isn't much worth living if I don't have my Bud Lite.

Hell I switch channels on the tube, its alot different, I'm a 60's alumni, people were disciplined, polite and white

How is piped in Hip-Hop disrespectful to older people in the staduium. Sorry to say, but the majority of people under 30 actually prefer that genre

The majority of the people where I sit would rather lose their oldest child than listen to any rap in Tiger Stadium. That's a fact.

I left at the middle of the second quarter. I'm tired of watching Miles try to set offense back 50 years.

I just cant fathom how Callin' Baton Rouge is supposed to hype up a bunch of college-aged kids to get loud enough to affect the opposing team. People continuously complain about the piped in music and the student section but honestly, if you take out the music then you might also see the students perform even worse.

Are people leaving conference games early in athens,Tuscaloosa, auburn or Columbia?
No
No

Those are all towns with nothing else to do within miles of the stadium.
A more fair assessment would be Nashville or Lexington.

These people are fed with silver spoons and the only reason they come to the game is to act as if they wield some imaginary power over the affairs of LSU whilst laughing at us proletariat.
I agree, but that's a problem everywhere not just LSU.

Alabama is in the middle of one of the greatest runs in CFB history, Auburn just went to the title game, and USC is having the best few years in their program's history.
Les plays a boring brand of football, the defense isn't good this year, and just getting to and from the game is a hassle. I don't blame anyone for leaving early or staying home.
For a program with rabid fans and unlimited resources, LSU does a terrible job giving a good gameday experience. Hell, the student section security makes you throw away any packs of smokes or cans of dip that you have before entering the stadium. I'm not going back until the Alabama game.

I only watched half of the game at home. Best decision i made all day to turn that game off. I really enjoyed the rest of my night.

Aggies had a record 39,000 students at the Rice games and not a single rap tune. It can be done.

The only thing enjoyable about last night's game was the band. They sounded awesome.
Not sure if serious.

Well Delacroix I can assure you no one left early, no one would think of disrespecting anyone and thank God we did not have rap. Not only could you understand the words but vulgar language was left in private.
People today just do not give a F@@@

Would you rather have a stadium filled with 75k where No one leaves early?

This is not true.
I have long said that the reason there are empty seats at half time is because the games, every game, is on a tv station somewhere. Even the bad, mismatched games find there way to a tv station. So people either don't go to the game, or leave by half time and watch it at their tailgating location.

I don't live in Louisiana anymore so I only make one game a year generally.

I leave around the start of the 4th quarter almost every time.
Well, sounds like you aren't wasting your time and money at all.
