#1 Needs a better scheme and more consistent carries instead of rotating so much during a single series. This could be said of all the RBs. I'm OK with a rotation, but not as sporadic.
#2 He seems to find solid contact with defenders and isn't able to break away from it rather than anticipating the contact and leveraging away from it.
#3 He needs to work on his timing and vision. He has missed some holes on stretch plays because he's trying to outrun everybody to a point instead of stretch the defense and make a hard cut and run to daylight.
Overall a young, talented back who hasn't been given enough opportunity to learn how/where to run against each opponent's weaknesses because he only gets 9 carries. So he runs with a cookie cutter style of how the play is designed and is not as instinctual as I think he should be. This leads him to run into defenders who are in proper position rather than feel/see the seems in the defense.
He will continue to improve If given more consistent touches and if ever given a competent game plan for success.
