I haven't been to any great "oyster bars" in Louisiana, so I can't argue with the list. I've been to restaurants in Seattle and Vancouver where they had 20+ different oysters to choose from, and was disappointed by the oysters the server recommended (compared to Gulf oysters). Gulf oysters are my favorite by far, but for the most part I'm not eating them in "oyster bars". I have a guy in Grand Isle that gets me some fantastic oysters, typically right after a big cold front. I've also bought sacks of wine oysters from Collins in Golden Meadow that were out of this world. IMO, Louisiana may not have great oyster bars, but I think Louisiana puts out some oysters that are as good or better than any others.
