150 grain bullet
3/4" high at 100 will be 2" low at 200.
Just call it a 150 yard zero.

Range (yd)

Drop (in)

R......D
0....-1.5
50....0.2
100...0.7
150...0.0
200..-2.1
250..-5.7

Odd how much quibbling there's been over a hunter's statement that his gun and load hits 1" high at 100 yards and is 2" low at 200 yards. The ballistic tables are within a few tenths of an inch of what he says his gun does, supporting his statement. Even more importantly, it sounds as if he's actually SHOT his gun at 200 yards. Ballistic tables are just a generality. A gun/load being shot by a mere mortal probably won't behave exactly like the computer program says it should. Congrats, PP, on being prepared for that 200 yard shot. I bet you'll make it. BTW, I also like Varget for my 308 Win, as well as my 7-08 Rem, handguns. I lucked out and bought 2# last weekend at $15/pound.
