It's amazing how old those bombers are and what they've carried over their lifetime.

Most of them flying are 1960-63 tail numbers.

The H models are scheduled for service until 2045.

There are pilots who could be flying the same (although revamped) airplane that their grandfathers flew...pretty neat to think about.

Wow. I had no idea that this thread went on after my bed time. Yeah, the B-52s were supposed to last only a few years. There were several prototypes made to replace them. But they were scrapped because they weren't as good.
