Of course it is! Are you watching these things from your helicopter in the sky....or from your TV at home?
Are you saying they didn't happen?
No
So what are you trying to suggest? that the media ginned it up?
Yes, I agree with that
But Al Sharpton, Obama and the like don't seem to mind the media's participation
In fact, they are glad the media is "getting the truth out"

No, what I'm saying is that the media chooses what to cover, how long to cover it, and how to cover it. For example, when a random republican from Wyoming says something potentially offensive, it will be all over MSNBC. I mean, it really happened. They didn't "gin it up." But they are giving it waaaay more airtime than they would give a democrat from ohio who says the exact same thing. That is how media shapes perception and forwards their agenda.
Same thing here. If all you know about, for lack of a better phrase, "the minds of black people" is what you see or hear from the media, you will be getting a skewed perception. Like this OP, you will think all black people feel a certain way just because that is all you see on TV.
Again, when it comes to every other issue, this board is pretty damn good at deciphering and pointing out how the media can't be trusted and how it alters reality. But, for some strange reason, the perception of "black America" somehow escaped all this and is 100% accurate. Do you not follow my point here?
