my dad didnt use a switch, he used the big leather belt with our last name on the back of it.


i need to get one of those belts myself

That would have been me!! You only pick the smallest limb once.....Trust me!! I do not know all the facts in this situation, but atleast if anything he is concerned about his sons behavior. Did he go to far?? Maybe, maybe not. I have had welps on my legs, butt, ect... But it made me a better person.

You ain't kidding. My grandparents had a peach tree in the front yard. And god help you if you didn't come back with a big enough switch.

My grandmother got smart on this. When I messed up, she sent my brother to get it. When he messed up she sent me to get it. She knew we'd pick out as perfect a switch as possible. And when she was done, she'd stick it in a mason jar of water so it would stay limber for days. She had hickories down to an art form.
