I think Bain and Herron are going to end up being pretty good players for us in the future. I was hoping it would be this season but obviously Christian, Godchaux, and Q. Thomas are the main ones getting reps. I would love for another one to step up and give quality reps but I don't think that's gonna happen this year.
Gilmore on the other hand has been disappointing. He seems very slow and not explosive at contact. Hopefully I'm wrong and he's still adjusting to the college level but we'll need either Bain, Herron or Gilmore to come in at some point during this season. Hopefully they can get it all together and create some more depth.

Herron should be the fourth guy in the rotation based on spring and preseason performance. If so, that's four good guys to rotate against the teams that run HUNH offenses and get off a lot of snaps.

Perhaps the 3 red shirt freshman DTs are slow developers, but we need at least one and hopefully two to step up soon.
Three DTs playing all the snaps in big games is scary and none are dominant by any means at this point. I didn't notice Neal playing last week but he is under weight by even our lighter quicker standards for a DT.
In 2011 we played 5 to 6 DTs in every big game and this doesn't count garbage time and unfortunately 4 or
5 of them were better than anybody we have currently at DT.
