Place really blew up post-Katrina.
Very "transitional" neighborhood in that it attracts people that may have jobs that will require them to move again.
May be concerns about development along Pecue if the I-10 interchange at Pecue becomes a reality.

I hear people say this, but I don't get it. Any development on Pecue will not back up to the houses since the power lines are directly behind the properties.
My thoughts are that an interchange would be a big boost. As for developments, I'd say it can't be much worse than the houses that already line Pecue but then again, this is BR so who knows.

Huh, you literally have no clue what you're talking about. Have lived there for the past 7 years, a majority want the interstate exchange and 4 laning of pecue. I imagine all neighborhoods have cycles of the numbers of houses for sale, but there certainly isn't some mass exodus like a few people are trying to imply in this thread. The property values have certainly increased since we purchased.

Was our #1 issue for moving and why we didn't really make anything off of our house. We backed up to the field that will eventually be developed. We were unsure of what would go there, and didn't want to chance our house backing into a gas station or taco bell.
We moved about 5 years ago.
ETA: Damn, this is an old thread.
