Funny how this works.
When a group is politically correct, like Muslims, any critical evaluation of their behavior is responded to with, "They aren't all bad" (as if anybody ever claimed that).
Meanwhile, the Left is now into year 7 of hoping and praying that one Tea Party type will blow something up.
Try reconciling that.

You're in the ballpark here. Islam is anti Western and anti Christian which gives liberals an ideological erection. They'd love to have any sort of counterbalance to western hegemony. So Islam becomes a convenient ally. Even though Islam despises progressivism.
