They want to commit to a person they love. Why is that such a big problem for you?
Since we both agree that there are other factors besides genetics, and we can both understand that human sexuality is far more dynamic than our current constructs of gay and straight, does it not stand to reason that legitimization of homosexuality could lead to an increase in homosexuality? Can you agree this far? Now, is having more homosexuality good, bad, or neutral for society? I don't fully know. Rational arguments can be made every way.

Actually Id be more inclined to believe the opposite. People drawn to a taboo lifestyle would not be drawn to it if it were no longer taboo.
Is there a "yeah social engineering" emoticon?
