I mean, it's his song and he can name it whatever he wants, but I'd be a liar if I said I didn't share the OP's views that the song is not appropriately titled.

Same goes for the song that should have been name "Teenage Wasteland".

Musicians being all contrarian and shite.

"Baba O'Riley" was named so because it was originally part of an opera, and it is common for the numbers in operas to be titled the name of the character being introduced.
