I personally perfer a starphire glass tank. Will make the colors in the tank come out more and if you scratch your tank on a acrylic tank it will show up alot more than on a glass tank. I can promise you that you will scratch your tank no matter how much you baby it.

If it bothers you that much,some 1500 grit sandpaper and a quick polish will remove them.
Plus you can keep these without worrying about them shattering your glass tank.
