Hey, just my honest opinion. No reason to be upset
Out of the 6 places I've lived in my life, it was by far my least favorite. Some people like it. To each their own

Big Moe
Madtown local here.
I know the scene inside and out. Is this a family roadtrip or a guy's roadtrip?
Things to see:
Mickey's Dairy Bar and get the scrambler. Classic gameday breakfast spot.
Tailgate/bar scene along regent street.
Union South pregame band concert.
Breese Terrace along westside of stadium house party central. Octobong?
Game itself. Crowd will suck if its an 11:00 game and will be late. Try to get tickets on the west side-sections D-J. That way you can see the students nonsense better. On the bike path across the street from the UW Fieldhouse is where scalpers are.
Jump Around between 3rd/4th quarters. 5th quarter band concert/dancing to follow-if UW wins you might want to check it out. Has died somewhat in last 15 yrs though. Unique though.
Post game- check out Memorial Union- have a drink on the terrace by the lake. State St area has tons of bars including St St Brats. Older crowd near capital, younger crowd near campus. I like Porta Bella for dinner. Its been a awhile but a bar hop routine might be Brats, Whiskey River, Wandos, Johnny O's, Kollege Klub. There are a ton of bars to choose from. You will get a feel for all things Badgers if you check these out IMO.
