We've explored 2% of the ocean floor. New species are discovered all the time, this is a silly question.

Four legged mammal species are still being discovered in New Guniea and shite. And we're still pretty clueless about the deep ocean. And I was just reading the other day about a complete Viking ring fortress just discovered in Denmark.
And I just discovered a new mole on my inner thigh whilst taking a dump.

In fairness to the OP, I don't think he's referring to some unknown deep sea minnow and undiscovered tree frog.
He seems to be referring to ancient, hidden "cool" discoveries that advance our knowledge of previous civilizations.

let me try this one more time, maybe poorly worded at first..i`m talking of unearthing a new rosetta stone, finding Atlantis..not a new species of rat

It's sorta an endless cycle kind of thing. People a thousand years from now will be digging up our iPhone 6's and talking about how written records of history vanished in the early 2000's.
