I was raised to put an animal out of his misery as quick as possible. I'm all about getting rid of every hog I see. But to make money of off luring a hog with marshmallows to a painful death, IMO, is just sad. Feel sorry for the guy who has to do this to make a living. I get that you are trying to be the tough guy but I just disagree.

So you're like the guys who give all hunters and fishermen a bad reputation huh?
because I don't have a problem with a gator being fed a live pig? Have you never fed a live mouse to a pet snake? Same shite different scale

A lot of pansies in this thread. Sportsman use live bait all around the world. It's a damn hog for Gods sake. Gators gotta eat somethin and he sure ain't gonna be a tree shaker by eating marshmallows all day.

Once again, how am I trying to be "tough" by saying I don't see a problem with it? Please explain this to me quick

It's no big deal. Just have differing opinions.

It's simple really. If the gator grabs the hog without the guy throwing marshmallows right in front of the gator, the video is pretty cool, and nature at its finest. Tricking the pig to jump right in front of the gators with bait, just for entertainment, is pretty unethical, if you want to really discuss the ethics of it.

Well said.

I agree with you to an extent. However the snake takes care of business almost instantly. I've never seen where the mouse struggles like the pig did.

Right, let's also quit tricking hardtails into getting swallowed by monster tuna.

C'mon man... You comparing fishing to this?
Posted on 9/9/14 at 10:34 am to PapaPogey
Nice try, but that's not equivalent to the video.

So what is "ethical" about shooting a pig, that's not nature. The only difference IMO is that the marshmallow is much cheaper than a bullet, also a native animal got a meal out of it.

Is that a serious question? Would you also like to discuss the ethics of shooting deer and ducks?

Meh, a quick death via bullet is ethical to the T.

I wish they would just admit that its the pig squealing that bathers them and be done with it...
Posted on 9/9/14 at 10:43 am to jorconalx
thats all it is; if the pig didn't squeal like that then no one would give a shite

It's a horrible sound no doubt, but they always scream like that regardless of a 10' gator.
