I know my brother and I are dead-set on getting in. I'd be happy to pay anything $400 or less, but if it comes down to it I could fork over more.

Wait and get tickets right before the game. For some reason people get antsy and have to get tickets earlier. You'll save a ton of money by doing that. We had a group of four two years ago and got tickets right before the game for about $120 a piece and we all sat together in the lower bowl. Do not settle on tickets other than the lower bowl. There are always tickets to be had. Always! I never have tickets going to the games home or away and always pay less and have much better seats than any of my friends.

My dad would always go up to the game with his buddies on an RV and when I was a teenager, I'd often bring a group of friends. My Dad loved going up close to game time and snagging tickets for us. Sometimes, he'd buy and sell 3 or 4 sets, progressively getting better seats for less money, and occasionally he'd even make a small profit. Those were great times.

Tickets were not as tight back then as they are now, especially for Bama. It is a risk, but if you're willing to roll the dice, your odds should be good and you can save a lot of coin. If you have people in your group who wouldn't take missing the stadium well, check all of the sites listed above over the next few weeks and you should be able to find a reasonable set.
