A lot of things that have been mentioned are very good. I'd also use LP Techshield radiant barrier in roof and depending on where sun hits house the most LP tech those rooms as well. This is of course null & void if you're spray foaming.
Central vac setup is easy to install on the front end if you ever decide that route. I'd also put a few extra cable outlets in family/media room in case you want to watch multiple games. It was nice watching MSU/Ore, OU/VaTech, & Lsu game last night.
