Someone I know was ill last week and had the chicken noodle from Langenstein's a few days later and said it was acceptable.
Depends on what your illness is. If your stomach is messed up, the acid in tomato soups might not be the best idea.
Copeland's might have a potato soup. Does the wife cook? I have very easy potato soup I make that can be made pretty bland or you can add to it whatever you like, ham, bacon etc...
I agree on the won ton or egg drop soups. I have those sometimes when I'm feeling puny. I have no Metairie suggestions, though.
You might want to change the two word title to a few more words before an admin anchors it.
