My wife has a Tahoe and was looking to downsize. Test drove MDX and Infinity. MDX blew Infinity away. Absolutely no comparison. The MDZ has better handling and transmission. Infinity has a litlle more room. It feels more like a minivan when compared to MDX. When all was said and done, both felt tiny compared to the Tahoe. Kids much prefer captain second row seats too. Looked at Arcadia, but haven't test drove it yet.

This would probably be my choice due to superior crash rating.
The Volvo only lacks the cool user interfaces of the GM product, but it is dead-solid on safety. Given the inherent failings of three row vehicles, the Volvo would be the pick.
