Why does A&M put up a lot of points? They play the spread. The whole point of their game plan is to outscore the opponents. Sometimes that makes it look like you're dominating i.e. 52-28, but a lot of the time when you're playing big boy SEC teams, especially LSU, it doesn't freaking work It's why LSU doesn't lose to A&M, and why A&M doesn't win the West.

It's because of what we play. We don't do it West Coast, we don't run the spread. We beat the shite out of people until we come out on top. We try to keep our offense on the field so the spread teams aren't on the field as long, and our defense shuts them down while they are. It's a better system. It's why Bama does it too. It means we don't always lead the whole time, it meas the wins won't be pretty, but they're wins. Ridiculously more often than not, the W is what happens.

Would I like to have a little more misdirection and play action? Sure. Would I like the TE's to catch the ball and Jennings to complete his screens so that the I isn't a one dimmensional formation? Sure. Would I like to see more designed quarterback runs ? Absolutely.

But it's the first freaking game for a young team, and if you don't think that Wisky was a damn good team you're wrong. That was a blueprint on how to beat LSU, a brilliant one. And they executed it, but they coudn't EXECUTE THE ENTIRE GAME. LSU outlasts. We are strong, and we know it.

Also watch that A&M game again. The SCar defense was not ready at all. There was NO communication. LSU would have scored on them almost as much as A&M, and SCar wouldn't have scored nearly as much on us.

So stop being the 4 year old who wants what the other kids have, because the shiny toys suck, I promise.
