Or just go with the TRP Operator.

So does a WWI veteran. Doesn't mean I want him fighting on the front lines today. Just Sayin'

That comparison doesn't even make sense. I'm pretty sure the WWI veteran hasn't been undergoing part replacements, receiving upgrades, maintenance, customization, and I'm pretty sure he doesn't have the ability to maintain his prime, you know, since he's a freaking human being and tends to age as the years go by. Whereas the 1911 has not only been improved over the years, but can be maintained in perfect operational condition.

How about a musket or a cannon? I'm just saying that the argument that something is over 100 years old is not valid to me. I have shot 1911's, glocks, sigs, etc. Guess which one was the least reliable.

ETA- Don't get me wrong, I like 1911's (actually my current 1911 IS as Sig ) I just think the OP's statement was valid.
