Its the one thing I'm jealous of, and no, no one with a professional job (That I know) is taking vacations like a European can, where you can frick off in Southeast Asia for 3 weeks straight.
It makes TripAdvisor commentary annoying as frick.
"How long should I spend at Angkor Wat"
You can spend about 5 or 6 days there, then spend 6 days on the road traveling to Bangkok, then 5 days in Bangkok AT LEAST.
"frick you Brit my vacation was over 5 days into your spiel"
This town has one goat and a working traffic light. You should spend 3 days there. Its marvelous.

That was funny. I noticed the same thing. I have a friend in Argentina who works for Exxon and she was taking 18 (yes 18) days to go to Europe. Not to mention her other mini-vacations she's taken. But then again, she's in Argentina so no thanks
