Being served drinks before people board and stuff just makes me feel like they are trying to pretend first class is more important than others 
. I really don't need to pay extra for that. A bottle of water is probably all I need. But getting through security, boarding and de-boarding first, and getting enough elbow room make it worth it. Plus the person sitting next to you is much less likely to be a fat slob.

nothing beats taking off with a buzz already.
The second flight on my leg, there were 11 big guys in first class and one pissy Egyptian guy in row 5 (first row of steerage class). We all "had the talk" that was funny but I was down he was so loud on his phone the entire time in the terminal I couldn't hear a thing. Then to have him cursing and yelling in Arabic or something. Also our attendant looked like Chris Tucker and had us cracking up the whole time.
My first time on US Airways. Two hour plus delays, but the upgrade to seats 2a and later 2f were worth it.
