They weren't happy with that, either. And in those days, ALL their teachers were black.

The narrative I am seeing from the 'black community' is just that, separate, but not equal, as they are pushing for control of 'their world' and whites are not to be included. It seems after the struggles of the 60's it has come to, not only being on equal ground, but instead, being the lead player in all parts of society.
This narrative I have heard from my early years and was dumb founded at its premise, but as time goes on and our world changes, racially this is more and more becoming what is the reality. If you do not want to believe then that is up to you as an individual. I do not know your experience in this country as far as diversity of places lived.
The statements I heard were from fellow school mates in the late 60's. They kind of laughed about it but meant what they were saying. The objective was to out populate the whites and take over. I am only on this earth for a short while and for my lifetime it does not matter so much. But as a society in the long run it will matter much. Martin Luther King spoke of equality and I believe this is what we should aspire to.
The more things change the more they revert back to old ways and division of our people. All races need to work and strive to be people together not separated by who is the majority and who is the minority. Putting mathematical limitations on what we are as people is a hindrance to us fulfilling our potential as a nation.
