Have you ever worked on payroll reporting for union employees? It's a fricking sham the 'work' they are paid for versus the hours spent in the plant.
Those motherfrickers don't have to work nearly 70 hours IN THE PLANT a week to make six figures. They are paid so much fricking premium pay for bullshite and they milk the system to hell and back(eg. buddies fake sick on planned days and get the other one called in to make double time).

On the other, they have a chip on their shoulder that drives them to brag about how much money they milk from their employers without doing any work. Sounds like welfare queens to me.

I wasn't union. Our plant paid well to keep us from voting in a union. I'm not sure where the hours per week comes from as discussed on here. The very large number of chemical plant operators at the numerous plants all across So. La. doesn't average much over 40 hours/wk. My normal wk was about 48 which is easy to do on a 12 hr day. O.T. was usually pretty easy and only took away from time & $ spent on hobbies. With little overtime I went over 6 figures and that was 10 years ago.
