Why do you have so much faith in our government to shape events in nations half way around the world, but have so little faith in that same government shaping events in this country?

Hope is not a plan. Change is not an endpoint. If you push for change, you'd damn well better have a plan in place to deal with the aftermath. Egypt => no plan. Iraq => no plan. Libya => no plan. Syria => no plan.

I halfway agree with you. Obama wasn't a passive player in Syria and Libya but he was passive with regards to Tunisia, Egypt and Yemen.
