I kind of close my eyes and use a finger to move the lenses around a little when they bother me too much. I will now have nightmares of the contacts rolling behind my eyes. I'd rather take another tennis ball to the nose than that.

What works for you is good. If you find this ineffective, try (after washing your hands) to put your finger directly on your contact, looking toward your nose, sliding your contact over toward your ear to the point that you see the edge pass over your vision/your vision goes blurry because the contact has moved over entirely to the white part of your eye and rub it around a bit (scleral rub). It does wonders. And it does not hurt even a little. Do NOT try rubbing the lens around directly on your cornea (clear part of the eye covering the colored part and black hole in the center).
