Yes. The OP asserted that black shoes do not look good with khakis (and I happen to agree with that assertion). You posted something from GQ (lol) stating that black dress shoes are versatile (a statement with which I also happen to agree).

You seem to think these two assertions are mutually exclusive. You'd be wrong.

So if it happens to be the most versatile shoe, then basically it's all boiling down to personal taste.(I honestly don't think I looks all that terrible) Seriously don't get what the fuss is about.

Though come to think about it.. I can't remember the last time I wore black and khaki
