If officers were required to wear cameras at all times, than I'd say "OK" to this advice.

However, it sucks that bad cops have buried LEO's general reputation in so deep a hole that I don't trust the lot of them. Sorry, but I don't have a lot of faith in going through the proper channels to file a grievance.

In undergrad at UGA, I had more than one acquaintance be robbed, yes robbed, by the Athens-Clarke police when they were arrested for things like open container or underage possession. When they got their possessions back after getting bailed out, all the cash they had in their wallet was gone. Yep, they sure had fun trying to "go through the proper channels" to get their money back.

It's crap like that undermines faith in our LEO community. It's really sad actually.
