I watched the first 2 episodes of season 1 last night cause Im looking for a new show... They weren't great to me. Is this a show that I should look into if I didn't really enjoy the first two? I love science fiction shows normally and i liked the idea, just didn't love it...

Yes. The first season is a bit cheesy, but it gets much better, trust me.
Once you get to episodes 9/10 of season 1 you'll see what the show truly can be and what it eventually becomes full-time.
